Project Intro

This was a pretty straight forward job. Our client was in a world of woe from their previous "digital marketing expert" with a ransom situation for their domain names, a poorly operating Wordpress site and the promise of SEO that as we all should know by now never materialises if the site sucks. It turned out to be two site reworks, we had the content and understood the audience so there were super easy jobs to design and build but they were definitely not super easy to manage, it was a lesson in how bad a bad agency can be when things go massively wrong, luckily we're here to help.

The Project

Eden clinic operate two distinct sides to their business, our client Angela is a former military doctor that has spent years treating men and men's issues, being men and living in a military city we know a thing or two about the issues affecting these men, our other work with charity Rock2Recovery and the Royal Marine's Shop placing us well to really get under the skin of what would make a great website without being either too medical and also showing strength and positivity, we needed the site to reflect the overall message that Eden Clinic for Men pushes out - that no issue can't be overcome and that it's ok to be not ok.

As we said in the intro, from a design point of view this job was super easy, we pulled together some visuals, pulled the content from the old site, wrapped in a few new features and built a rapid site that we knew would charge up Google's indexing at a rapid rate. As with all of our sites they boast a massive amount of hidden SEO and combined with the speed of the both the site and the hosting you cannot match them with Wordpress.

It was clear the client also needed to drive traffic to the site so we also created a batch of social media assets (posts + story + reels) to run alongside the side and these are left running as promoted posts on Instagram, just doing their thing day in, day out, driving traffic to the site.

The Outcome

The whole site was built and running in one week, this is the massive advantage when we're not waiting for client content, we call this a rewrap - moving a site from one platform to another and then improving it.

Real life cost to the client? They were paying their previous client £80 a month for hosting and "SEO optimisation" which given how poor the site was running was kind of like paying someone to dig a hole on a beach as the tide comes in. The site now runs on our premium hosting at £49 a month, no SEO optimisation is required on a monthly basis so the additional budget is now being used on low level social media ads to drive bookings via the site.
